How it works

  1. Type the time or pick a quick time and press Start.
  2. The red part of the dial shows the time left and shrinks back to 12; the digits are underneath.
  3. Press Full screen for the board or projector; a sound tells the class when time is up.

Frequently asked questions

How is the dial scaled?
Like the physical classroom timers: up to 60 minutes, a full circle is one hour, so 5 minutes is a small red slice and 30 minutes half the dial. Longer times use a dial of whole hours.
Why a red dial instead of numbers?
Young children can’t read the minutes yet, but they see the red getting smaller — it makes the time left visible at a glance, from anywhere in the room.
Can I add a minute while it runs?
Yes — press +1 min, and the dial grows to match.
Is there a noise meter too?
Yes — the classroom noise meter shows a face that turns red when the class gets too loud.
Is anything sent anywhere?
No. The timer runs in your browser.
