Example

Example: ₩3,000,000 a month, under 50, two years insured, leaving in June 2026

Monthly pay ₩3,000,000 before tax, last day worked 30 June 2026, under 50, insured 1 to 3 years, 8 hours a day. The calculator divides the last three months’ pay by the 91 calendar days they span.

  1. Daily average pay: ₩9,000,000 ÷ 91 days = ₩98,901; 60 % of it is ₩59,341.
  2. That is below the 2026 floor of ₩66,048 (80 % of the ₩10,320 minimum wage × 8 hours), so the floor is paid: ₩66,048 a day.
  3. Under 50 with 1 to 3 years insured gives 150 days: ₩9,907,200 in all, ₩1,981,440 per 30 days.
Years insured Under 50 50 or older, or disabled
Under a year 120 days, ₩7,925,760120 days, ₩7,925,760
1 to 3 years 150 days, ₩9,907,200180 days, ₩11,888,640
3 to 5 years 180 days, ₩11,888,640210 days, ₩13,870,080
5 to 10 years 210 days, ₩13,870,080240 days, ₩15,851,520
10 years or more 240 days, ₩15,851,520270 days, ₩17,832,960

The table is at the floor. Between the floor and the 2026 ceiling of ₩68,100 there is only ₩2,052 a day: ₩3,400,000 a month gives ₩67,252, and from about ₩3,450,000 the ceiling is paid (₩10,215,000 for 150 days). At 4 hours a day the floor halves to ₩33,024.

How it works

  1. Enter the monthly pay before leaving, or the last three months in total.
  2. Choose the last day worked, the age and the insured years.
  3. For part-time work, set the hours a day: the floor follows them.
  4. The daily amount, the days and the total appear.

Frequently asked questions

For how long?
120 to 270 days by age and insured years.

No, it assumes you can. The conditions it reminds you of: 180 insured days in the 18 months before leaving, a leaving that was not your own choice, and the whole benefit drawn within 12 months of leaving.
