Example

Example: March 1 to Christmas, and ten business days around Thanksgiving

One question per line. The first four count every day; the delivery deadlines count business days, with and without the US federal or UK bank holidays.

  1. Dates can also be typed the US way, 3/1/2026: on this page a date with slashes is read month first.
You type Count Answer
2026-03-01 to 2026-12-25 Every day299 days (42 weeks 5 days)
2027-01-04 + 90 Every daySun, Apr 4, 2027
2027-01-31 + 1 month Every daySun, Feb 28, 2027
2026-12-24 - 6 weeks Every dayThu, Nov 12, 2026
2026-11-20 + 10 Business days, no weekendsFri, Dec 4, 2026
2026-11-20 + 10 Business days, US federal holidaysMon, Dec 7, 2026
2026-12-18 + 5 Business days, UK bank holidaysTue, Dec 29, 2026

March 1 to December 25, 2026 is 299 days, 300 with “Count the first day too”. Ten business days from Friday, November 20 end on Monday, December 7 once Thanksgiving is left out; in England and Wales, five from December 18 end on December 29, after Christmas Day and the Boxing Day substitute.

How it works

  1. Type one question per line: two dates joined by "to" or "~" for the days between them, a date and "+100" or "-3 weeks" for the date that far away, or a single date for the days from today.
  2. Dates can be written 2026-09-19, 2026/9/19 or 2026年9月19日; "today" works too.
  3. Choose business days to leave out weekends, or weekends and one country’s public holidays; for Germany, pick the state too.
  4. The answers appear as you type, each with its weekday. With nothing typed, the page shows today and the dates 7 to 365 days from now.

Frequently asked questions

Is the first day counted?
Not by default: from 19 to 20 September is one day, the way a difference is counted. Tick "Count the first day too" for counts where both ends are included, such as the days of a stay or a leave.
How are business days counted?
Between two dates, every working day after the first up to and including the last is counted. Adding business days moves forward one working day at a time, so "+1" on a Friday gives the Monday, or the Tuesday when Monday is a holiday.
Which holidays are left out?
Those of the country you choose: US federal holidays, UK bank holidays for England and Wales, Japan’s (2000–2099, with substitute holidays), Germany’s nationwide holidays or a state’s, France’s (with Alsace-Moselle’s two extra days if ticked), Spain’s national holidays, Italy’s, Brazil’s national holidays, Turkey’s, whose religious holidays are included for 2024–2030 as the Diyanet publishes them, and South Korea’s, with the lunar holidays, substitute days and election days for 2024–2030. Every holiday a count skipped is listed under the answer. Spanish regional holidays, local holidays and company closures are not included.
Can I type the date the UK way, 25/12/2026?
Yes when the day is over 12: 25/12/2026 can only be 25 December and is read that way. When both numbers are 12 or under, a date with slashes is read month first on this English page, so 03/02/2026 is 2 March: write 2026-02-03, which can only be read one way, or 03.02.2026, since a date with dots is always read day first.
How many business days are there between two dates?
Type the two dates joined by “to” and choose business days. November 2 to November 30, 2026 is 28 days: 20 business days without weekends, 18 once the US holidays Veterans Day and Thanksgiving are left out as well.
What happens when I add a month to 31 January?
You get the last day of February, not 3 March: months are added to the calendar month and the day is held at the end of a shorter month.
