With US federal holidays, the page’s default, type three lines: a period to the end of the year and two deadlines — three business days from the day before Thanksgiving, and ten from Friday, December 18.

Listed underneath as not counted: Veterans Day (Wed, Nov 11), Thanksgiving (Thu, Nov 26), Christmas Day (Fri, Dec 25) and New Year’s Day (Fri, Jan 1, 2027). With UK bank holidays chosen, Dec 18 + 10 lands on Wed, Jan 6, 2027 instead, because the Boxing Day substitute on Monday, Dec 28 is skipped too.

Frequently asked questions
- How many business days are there between two dates?
- Monday to Friday count, except the public holidays of the country you choose. Type both dates joined by “to”, such as 2026-10-01 to 2026-12-31: the answer gives the calendar days and the business days, counted from the day after the first date through the last. The holidays left out are listed underneath.
- Which US holidays are left out?
- The eleven federal holidays, Juneteenth included, with the Friday or Monday off when one falls on a weekend. State holidays and days a company closes are not included.
- How do I add business days to a date?
- Type the date and “+10”: 2026-11-20 + 10 gives Monday, December 7, 2026 with US federal holidays left out, because Thanksgiving falls in between. With no date in front, “+10” counts from today.
- How long is 10 business days?
- Two calendar weeks when no holiday falls in between: from Mon, Sep 14, 2026, +10 is Mon, Sep 28. Each holiday adds a day: from Mon, Oct 5, 2026, +10 is Tue, Oct 20, because Columbus Day is skipped.
- Can I count UK working days?
- Yes: choose UK bank holidays, which are those of England and Wales, with the substitute day when Christmas or Boxing Day falls on a weekend. Scotland and Northern Ireland have different ones that are not included.
- How many business days are in a year?
- Type the first and last day of the year joined by “to” and tick “Count the first day too”. 2026 has 261 weekdays and, with the 11 US federal holidays taken out, 250 business days; pick another country to count its holidays instead.
